Alla Morozova is the owner of a shelter in Novosibirsk, Russia, where Maru, a wonderful bullmastiff dog, was adopted by a couple when she was five months old. Unfortunately, six months later, everyone received a phone call from the couple, who claimed that they were allergic to animals and wanted to return them to the shelter.
“I never give up my dogs, and when they adopt one, it is specified that the owners should contact me if they can no longer get it,”said Alla.
Given the scenario, it was decided to return Maru by train to the shelter and an assistant volunteered to take care of him, but after about 125 miles of the journey (201 km), the train stopped at a station near Achinsk and the dog ran away. The Siberian Times reports.
Maru was scared because the people she trusted most had abandoned her, and the train was very noisy.
She jumped into the cabin, kicked the handle, and almost knocked the driver out of her way.
No one could detain her, so Maru’s manager immediately called the couple to report her absence, they called Alla, who asked them to look for her in the Achinsk region, but both refused.
The couple looked careless, as if the dog was no longer their responsibility.
It is assumed that Maru walked from the station to the industrial sector of Krasnoyarsk.
For her part, alla chose to spread the word about Maru using publications and social media.
The dog was discovered two and a half days later in an industrial area of Krasnoyarsk, seeking to get to the house where she was refused; she was bruised and exhausted, with” tears in her eyes, ” according to rescue workers.
She had to wander through the Russian wilderness, which was ravaged by brown bears and Wolves. It’s amazing that she survived and that she has such a strong sense of place.
Alla said: “geographically, she had no reference point at all. She was walking around alone in the city courtyard and did not go anywhere else “.
Maru was tired and lame, her paws, paws and lips were all injured. Before she could be recovered, she had fallen from the train bridge.
If she had not been damaged, the noble dog would undoubtedly have returned to the area where she called home.
Now Maru is undergoing treatment to overcome her trauma with her native parents at the shelter in Novosibirsk, and she is also undergoing care for her injuries.
