Maggie Is Now Just Making A Progress And Has Become A Therapy Dog

After Being Shot 17 Times, A Pregnant Dog Survives, Finds Forever Home, And Becomes A Registered Therapy Dog, Maggie, a 5-year-old dog, is really a miracle dog considering the difficulties she has previously overcome in order to live.

Her story of courage and persistence started in Lebanon. Maggie was discovered tied to a box, one ear severed, and her mouth fractured. Maggie was tortured and then shot 17 times with a shotgun while pregnant, resulting in utter blindness.

Someone in Lebanon noticed the sad dog and posted a plea for aid on social media. When a lady in London read the request, she contacted The Wild At Heart Foundation for assistance. Maggie was saved. She did, however, have to go through surgeries and various treatments before being put for adoption and finding her ultimate family in Brighton, England.

Kasey Carlin, 25, is the owner of Maggie, a star on the Internet with over 248,000 followers on Instagram. Kasey quit her work at a dog-care facility to give her full-time attention to monitoring Maggie’s Instagram account.

“She has given myself and others so many lessons; we all know what she stands for since we were taught them as lessons.” But she reminds me of them every day. Don’t judge a book by its cover, love conquers all, be humble, enjoy life to the fullest, serve others, you make your own happiness, and you can accomplish anything if you believe! Kasey told Bored Panda, “Everyday she reminds me to strive to be better and achieve better.”

Maggie just became a therapy dog, and she has been visiting hospitals, nursing homes, and colleges, where everyone can sense her serenity and delight. Maggie has won the hearts of both her owners and Kasey’s other dog, Mishka, at home.

“Every day, I’m shocked at how many people are involved in her story.” No one cared about her for so long that when I decided to foster her, it was because no one else did! “I’m delighted she can share such a great message with the world,” Kasey concludes.
